Benji Matteson, Mohonk Mountain House hotel manager and executive VP

A note on Benji Matteson. Like my father, he was a great-grandson of Joshua Distinguished Matteson and Ruth Harrington. Benji was the son of Benjamin Howard Matteson, a Morris native who moved to New Paltz, NY to become a professor at the Normal School that was to become SUNY-New Paltz. His son Benji grew up in New Paltz but spent summers in Morris visiting his grandparents and great aunts. He married the daughter of the man who built Mohonk Mountain House resort in the Catskills outside New Paltz and became the hotel manager and later the executive VP of the resort complex.
