A crash that helped Morris decide to form a rescue squad.
An early Morris Emergency Squad member, Gary Fisher, told me that the crash detailed below in a front page story in the September 14, 1961 edition of the Otsego Farmer and Republican and in the attached PDF did a lot to get people started on the road to the formation of an emergency squad.
I located the article on the Fulton History website which has nearly 22 million pages of upstate NY newspapers scanned and searchable.
