Postcard, Residence and Private Car of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Linn
Photo and comments courtesy of Rene Elliott.
H.H. Linn had his trailer company in Oneonta build the special drop style 32' frame, and then the Weidman Body Co. of North Tonawanda, NY build the body, complete with marble and gold plate fixtures, after Mrs. Linn died it sat with a leaking roof behind the plant in Oneonta when a traveling preacher bought it, one of his kids wrote an article for "Trailer Life" magazine about 1990. Its as afterwards sold to the Piney Woods, AL school but I contacted them soon after the article and was told no one kept track of when it was sold or where it went. The 1924 Safeway/Six Wheel Co. motorhome which Linn had used up until about 1930, is still in existence, the late Jim Weller of Glens Falls, NY spent over a $100, refurbishing it, and it supposedly went to a private collector in Austin, TX. (It had been used in several Presidential campaigns, including Nixon's, so we joke either the Bush family has it, or Alex Jones).
