Watson House
The 1883 fire on Main St took out about 12 buildings including outsbuildings.
One building lost was run by the Watson Family who rebuilt after the fire. It later was renamed the Kenyon House.
This image was cropped from a fire department photo and the volunteer fireman is identified as
Edwin Watson. He died at the young age of 45.
Follow this link to learn about Edwin Sumner Watson's father, Mortimer Watson, with a link to his mother, too.

L. A. Hewel changed the name painted on the Watson House to the Kenyon House on the orders of the new owner, J. P. Kenyon, as reported in The Morris Chronicle on July 20, 1892.
