Deeds of Valor
John Henry Weeks was a young man from Hartwick Seminary, NY. He fought in the Civil War and was awarded The Medal of Honor for an act which did not involve the death of a soldier on either side or even the firing of a rifle. You can look in the attached book or read the attached newspaper page to see an account of this incident.
