Glass Plate Negatives - set 2

Everyone loves a parade, right? This looks like a parade to me. Perhaps a 4th of July parade.

Not every picture is "picture perfect." Something went wrong with this one and the image was smeared.

I googled "G.B. Jones" shoes and found two mentions of a G.B. Jones of Waterville, NY in two trade magazines. The google hits were for 1905 and 1913 and have been attached below. If you wish to look through those trade magazines you can download them from books.google.com for free.

The strange distortion again only on the other edge of the image. Was it intentional?

On the Waterville Historical Society site I learned that this building is called the Buell Block and it was built in 1878.
