Frank Lobdell of Nineveh, NY about 1907

A postcard from a friend's attic. This is not related to Morris in any way except that my friend was raised in Guilford and now lives in Morris.

Low resolution scans of the front and back of the card are shown below. Larger images can be accessed from the links at the bottom of this page.

This real photo postcard with a 1907 postmark shows Frank Lobdell with his son, wife, and aunt around the porch of his home in Nineveh, NY.

The postcard is 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches.

I haven't been able to determine what engines Frank and C. E. Curtis were selling in 1907, but I did find a 1922 ad from C. E. Curtis in the The Chenango County Farm and Home Bureau News: Volumes 8-9, January 1, 1922
The Association

C.E.Curtis was offering kerosene powered home electric systems made by Willys Company.

Two of his ads. The ads are only 2 of the 10 that he placed in the Chenango County Farm and Home Bureau News -- you can look look all the issues of Volumes 8-9 at the link below.

And an ad from the company. They were not exactly giving the systems away. You could buy a brand new Chevrolet for $525 dollars in 1922.
