The Pope Cemetery is quite a ways off the road. This 1868 map shows the location east of Otsego County Highway 7, east Branch of the Otsdawa.

1924 Garrattsville State Road coming in and materials were hauled by a temporary narrow gauge railroad.
The Garrattsville School is visible on the right.
