Ken Stowell collected and typed up these observations made by Ray Clement on fishing in the Butternut Valley. Bill Stowell, Ken's son passed it on to Bill Pickens who passed it along to Bob Thomas who chose to share it with readers of this site.
Looking at the fultonhistory.com site I found a link to an article published in the Sunday Dec 24th 1961 edition of the Binghamton Press. He graduated from MCS in 1931 - after only 3 1/2 years of high school. The photo below appeared as part of the article that I will quote in part below. Draper Daniels was being considered as a Democratic candidate to challenge Sen. Everett Dirksen.
